Some Benefits of Affiliation

Community Learning Center, Inc., the educational arm of TCCLC,
has received federal and state grants to address the needs of
dislocated/ incumbent workers and youth in the community, to remove
employment barriers and learn new skills for re-employment/upgrades.

We award two $1000 scholarships to high school seniors who are
children of union members. The Texas AFL-CIO also offers three
scholarships, therefore there are five scholarships awarded annually.

The Community Service Liaison Program assists by providing
information and referral services through the United Way for union
families.

We believe in strong community relations, getting the word out to
always elect labor friendly politicians into all offices.

Actively participate in leading the way in workers compensation
reform by having informed members.

Active support of local union events, issues and concerns.

Please feel free to contact us for additional information and try to
attend the next council meeting.
